HOW TO ENROLL

Please read this page in it's entirety.

You are not enrolled until you have completed all 4 steps

1) Registration, 2) Enrollment, 3) Create an Argus Account, and 4) Payment

 

1. REGISTER AS A NON-DEGREE SEEKING STUDENT:

To register with the University of West Florida as a non-degree seeking student, please visit the following link to find the application for NON-DEGREE seeking students:

Included in the application:

  1. Non-degree student classification (read this for your information)
  2. Non-degree seeking student registration application (complete online and click submit OR print and mail)
    • Your semester of enrollment is Fall if your start date is in August - December.
    • Your semester of enrollment is Spring if your start date is in January - April.
    • Your semester of enrollment is Summer if your start date is May - July.
    • Choose "EXCEPTIONAL STUDENT EDUCATION - GRADUATE LEVEL COURSES" as your area of study.
  3. Resume and two legal questions
    • Complete the resume indicating your last two years of experience.
    • Answer the two legal questions by checking the appropriate boxes.
  4. Information for Residency Classification
    • Complete as appropriate for your status.

2. ENROLL IN THE BCBA/BCABA COURSE SEQUENCE:

Once you have completed these steps to register with UWF as a non-degree seeking student, Log in to Lighthouse to obtain your STUDENT ID# and set up your email account.

After you have your STUDENT ID#, please let us know you would like to enroll in the course sequence by visiting our ENROLLMENT REQUEST website and complete all fields so that we will know to enroll you in the next BCBA course sequence in your area:

  1. Type in your full name you used in your UWF application
  2. Type in your date of birth
  3. Type in your email address
  4. Type in your Student ID# (If you don't have this, call the Registrar at (850) 474-2000, press 0, and ask for the Registrar to help you)
  5. Choose your location to let us know which series of courses in which we should enroll you.
  6. Choose which series you would like.
    • If you will not be completing a MA degree from UWF or another university, you must enroll in the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCABA)
    • If you have or will complete the MA degree (either with UWF or other) please choose the BCBA option
    • If you would like to enroll in 2 sections of optional intensive supervised practicum hours (see "Courses" link above for a full description) please select this option. You may also add this at a later date if you are not sure now.

3. CREATE AN ARGUS ACCOUNT:

Once enrolled, you will need to request an “Argus” account with the university. This will set-up a student email account for you and will allow you to participate in the online portions of the courses.  You may need to wait a few days after submitting the inforamtion above before UWF will enroll you in the first course. At that time, the system will allow you to take this next step. To request an Argus account:

  1. Go to http://argus.uwf.edu
  2. Click on “NEW USER” and follow the instructions. (Note: It may take up to 24 hours after you register before you can use your Argus account.)

4. PAY FOR YOUR COURSES:

Standard in-state graduate tuition rates/fees will be due by the end of the first week of any scheduled classes within the BCBA course sequences offered at AST. Please note that the University of West Florida will charge financial penalties for late enrollment/late payment of fees. Please pay fees in a timely manner well before the due date. Payments for fees maybe made in person or by mail to the Cashier's Office, 11000 University Parkway, Bldg. 20-E, Pensacola FL 32514. A check or money order maybe placed in the deposit drop box located outside Bldg. 20-E. Students may pay with VISA, MasterCard, or American Express through their ARGUS Account http://argus.uwf.edu . The Cashier's Office can be reached by phone by calling (850) 474 2000, press 0, then ask to be connected to the Cashier's office. Please note that UWF is on Central Standard Time which is two hours ahead if calling from California. Their offices close at 5:00pm Central Standard Time.

When making a payment, please have your course information. Course name and number information is available on the "courses" page of this website. These courses are provided through the College of Professional Studies and Continuing Education, specifically coordinated by Dr. Leasha M. Barry in the Division of Teacher Education.

Late Fees Late fees will be applied by the University of West Florida for late enrollment or late payment of fees. PLEASE let Dr. Leasha Barry know immediately if you are not able to pay for your course through the cashier's office or argus for any reason. This must be resolved within the enrollment period to avoid late fees. If you notify Dr. Barry after the due date, she maybe able to have you enrolled but she will not be able to remove late fees.

Degree Seeking Students: Additional courses in the degree plan, beyond the BCBA course curriculum offered at AST, are billed at the Out of State Tuition rate. You may apply for a Fee Waiver Request to reduce the cost to the in-state tuition rate. Please remember to complete the Fee Waiver Request each semester in which you are enrolled in the Degree plan.
